Raman and x-ray diffraction measurements have been performed on Co substituted YBa2Cu3-xCoxO6+8. The x-ray diffraction data show that the structure transforms from orthorhombic to tetragonal at x=0.13. The features in the Raman spectra change smoothly throughout the investigated concentration range

Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) measurements on polycrystalline YBazCu,07-d prepared via the citrates and the usual ceramic route of Bring the oxides and BaC03 are reported. The single phase samples of orthorhombic YBa2Bu3006.9 and tetmgonal YBa,Cu,O, obtained from a citrate precursor do not e
IR excited ( 1.16 eV) Raman spectra of several YBa2Cus06+, metallic samples (0.48<x<O.94) with both I60 and 96% substituted "0 have been performed. The dominant features of the spectra are two phonon bands around 340 and 490 cm-' in I60 samples. In comparing the energy shift of these two Raman bands
