✦ Synopsis

Two conceptual

rainfall-runoff models are described incorporating non-linear surface and groundwater storages in association with kinematic wave routing of channel flow. The models are shown to be suitable for design purposes and one of them, in preliminary investigations, appears to be suitable for flood forecasting applications where parameters and states are estimated using an iterated extended Kalman filter.

This paper analyses the skills of fuzzy computing based rainfall-runoff model in real time flood forecasting. The potential of fuzzy computing has been demonstrated by developing a model for forecasting the river flow of Narmada basin in India. This work has demonstrated that fuzzy models can take a

## Abstract To manage and distribute water resources efficiently, a rainfall runoff model must be selected and established. To determine the appropriations for this rainfall runoff model, however, accurate flow data must first be obtained. Thus, in this study, the simulated flow of Korea's Geum Riv
