Mais les enjeux sont plus nombreux, car les cofondateurs du BSG, Dom et Vin Barretti sont comme la famille pour lui, et personne ne touche la famille de Cade. Le fait que le jeune homme vengeur se révèle être le cadet du clan Barretti importe peu. Mais lorsque leurs affrontements tumultueux se transformeront en quelque chose de plus, Cade devra faire un choix entre protéger sa seule famille ou céder à son besoin de sauver Rafe de lui-même.
