โœฆ Synopsis

Abstraet--A radiolysis study of aqueous solutions of Nifurtimox (ArNO 2), an antiparasitic drug, has been performed in the absence of oxygen. The absorption spectra of three ArNO 2 intermediate reduced species have been quantitatively characterized: the radical anion ArNOz, the nitroso derivative ArNO and the 4 e-final reduced product. The study of hydrogen peroxide effect on the ~ radiolysis mechanism has shown that H202 reacts with the ArNO compound.
