✦ Synopsis


Methacrylonitrile (MAN) has been graft copolymerized individually and as a binary mixture with methyl acrylate (MA) onto gelatin by a simultaneous irradiation method. Percentage grafting has been studied as a function of total radiation dose, monomer concentration, amount of water and waterÈ methanol system. It was found that addition of MA increased the grafting efficiency of MAN. A plausible explanation has been suggested to account for the trends in the results 1998 SCI.
