A method and apparatus are described for the direct measurement of lJC activity in fractions leaving 21 gas chromatograph by means of a silicon-diffused detector; the simple device can readily be attached to a conventional chromatograph. The method was tested on substances boiling between 31.5" and 205.8". With use of a preparative gas chromatograph.
