Segmented poly(ethylene oxide) macroinitiators containing bistrialkylbenzopinacolate groups were used to initiate radical polymerization of styrene. A polystyrene-PEO block copolymer is formed by the incorporation of the PEO macroinitiator. The PEO fraction in the copolymer decreases with increasing
