I review the current status of neutrino masses and mixing angles and their implications on our theoretical picture of particle interactions.
The basics of neutrino oscillations is discussed. The importance of the time-energy uncertainty relation is stressed. Neutrino oscillations in the leading approximation and evidence for neutrino oscillations are briefly summarized.
We study a model for the mass matrices of the leptons, based on texture zero elements. We are able to relate the mass eigenvalues of the charged leptons and of the neutrinos to the mixing angles, and can predict the masses of the neutrinos. We find a normal hierarchythe masses are 0.005 eV, 0.01 eV
