Witb tbe use of the laser Induced fluorescente tecbnique in tbe afterglow of pulse discharged HgBr2, the radiatïve lifetime of the HgBr (B + X) system has been measured to be 4.3 X 10' Fr. Tbe technique also permits tbe study of tbe deactivation of tbe lower level.
