A model of radiative heat transfer in a dispersed medium is suggested which allows the calculation of the emissivity of an isothermal fluidized bed, the effective emissive ability of a non-isothermal bed and the temperature distribution near a heat transfer surface in a bed of a certain expansion when the radiative properties of the particles and the heat exchanger are prescribed.
