β¦ Synopsis
We investigate the decay widths of the radiative transitions among the vector and pseudoscalar mesons in a relativistic potential model of independent quarks. We perform a more realistic calculation beyond static approximation incorporating to some extent the momentum dependence due to the recoil of the daughter meson. We find an improvement in the results for the M1 transitions among light flavoured mesons. Our predictions in the heavy-meson decays are substantially affected and are comparable to those of other model predictions.
