## Abstract EPR Spectra have been measured for aqueous solutions of a series of Gd^3+^ complexes at variable temperature and a range of magnetic fields; S‐band (0.14 T), X‐band (0.34 T), Q‐band (1.2 T), and 2‐mm‐band (5.0 T). The major contribution to the observed line widths is magnetic‐field‐depe

✦ Synopsis
The viironic satellites due to coupling with OH or OD vibrations of the 312 run fluorescent emkion line from the 6P ,,1 excited level of Gd3+ in aqueous solution of the perchlorate salt were observed. in Hz0 the shifts mnespond to the OH stretching (and Hz0 ber&g) frequencies, with correspondingly decreased shifts in D20. The co~ecthn with radiationless transitions is discus&.
