✦ Synopsis
Radiation hydrodynamics of laser-induced plasmas is usually treated by well-established hydrodynamic codes such as MEDUSA or MULTI, which require transport coefficients as inputs. Here, we present results for a hydrodynamical calculation taking advanced expressions for the collision frequency. In this way we generalize the Spitzer-Härm-like expression to high density plasmas. Using the resulting density-and temperature profiles we generate time resolved emission spectra using a quantum-statistical approach to line profiles in dense plasmas. We apply our code to EUV emission from laser-generated lithium plasmas. Implications for diagnostics are discussed.
