โœฆ Synopsis

Radiation-controlled Enhancement of Electroluminescence in Calcium Sulphide Electroluminors

Enhancement and quenching effects in electroluminescent~ emission from CaR : Cu, Er a n d CaS : Cu, Sm elect'roliiminors under the concurrent' action of electric filed (a.c. or d.c.) and radiation (3650 A) has been investigated. Variation of t'he ratio R defined by R 1 = (B>;+l,/BE + B L ) has been studied as a function of voltage (a.c. or d.c.) arid frequency (u.c.) of the applied field. The net effect is found a,s combination of enhancement and quenching. Sometimes peaks (one or more than one) are also found. With the increascx i n frequency of a.c. field higher value of R is found. No regular variation with increase in intensity of uv radiation is found.

## Abstract Skeletal metastases are a major source of morbidity for cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of megavoltage irradiation and antiangiogenic therapy on metastatic bone cancer. A tumor xenograft model was prepared in C3H/Scid mice using 4T1 murine breast c
