โฆ Synopsis
Tests are described which yield the radial distribution of the turbulent diffusivity for enthalpy (eddy diffusivity) for fully-developed flow of water in a smooth straight pipe, with Reynolds number 105. It is found that this closely resembles the distribution of the turbulent diffusivity for momentum (eddy viscosity), with an average value of turbulent Prandtl number of 0.977. This is somewhat greater than the value predicted by the Jenkins model.
