This paper deals with radial displacement fields in solid and liquid parts of a liquidsaturated porous medium with cylindrical cavity subjected to an arbitrary time dependent force. The Laplace transform technique is used to solve the problem. A particular ease of impulsive force is discussed and closed form solutions are obtained. As a special case, results of classical elasticity are derived. (~
