✦ Synopsis

The molecule of the title compound, C 16 H 30 O 2 , features a trans-fused bicyclic system. The six-membered ring has a chair conformation. The molecules are linked via an O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bond [OÁ Á ÁO = 2.7696 (11) A ˚and O-HÁ Á ÁO = 174.2 (13) ] to form chains along the b axis. An intramolecular O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bond [OÁ Á ÁO = 2.6722 (11) A ˚and O-HÁ Á ÁO = 148.4 (13) ] is present.
