✦ Synopsis
Recent results on hyperfine fields and magnetic moments on different, crystallograpbically inequivalent positions together with the crystal electric field (CEF) and exchange interaction, leading to various magnetic structures and spin reorientation will be reviewed. Preferred site occupation and anisotropic exchange interaction (AEI) contribution to the total anisotropy energy will also be discussed. Where necessary comparison with the results of other experimental methods will be given.
The research task of the nearest future in the field of R-T intermetallics will be conclusive.

The magnetic hyperfine interaction for 119 Sn impurity atoms in GdAl 3 frustrated antiferromagnetic compound has been investigated by Mössbauer spectroscopy technique. Two magnetic subspectra with the ratio of the intensities 2:1 were observed. At 4.5 K, the values of the magnetic hyperfine field ar
