## Abstract This work examines the effect of various resins and dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid (DBSA) amphiphile on asphaltene precipitation from different petroleum fluids. Various resins are added to three different petroleum fluids to measure precipitation with nβpentane. Results show that the di
The oxygen distribution in the Athabasca asphaltene has been investigated. On the average, 75% of the oxygen is present in the form of hydroxyl groups. 1.r. studies indicate that these hydroxyl groups exist almost entirely as hydrogen-bonded complexes which do not dissociate in carbon tetrachloride.
