In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C~20~H~24~N~2~O~2~·1.5H~2~O, there are two independent quinidine [systematic name: (1__S__,3__R__,4__S__,8__R__,9__S__)-4-[hydroxy(5-vinyl-1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-2-yl)methyl]-6-methoxyquinoline] molecules and three water molecules. Intermolecular O—H...O and O—H...N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal structure.
