โœฆ Synopsis

Let X s GM be a finite group factorisation. It is shown that the quantum ลฝ .

ลฝ . double D H of the associated bicrossproduct Hopf algebra

This provides a class of bicrossproduct Hopf algebras which are quasitriangular. We also construct a subgroup Y X associated to every order-reversing automor-ลฝ . phism of X. The corresponding Hopf algebra kX d . k Y has the same coalgebra as H. Using related results, we classify the first order bicovariant differential calculi on H in terms of orbits in a certain quotient space of X.

Let A A be a Hopf algebra and โŒซ be a bicovariant first order differential calculus over A A. Corresponding to the three choices of the ideal J, we distinguish

We study the group of group-like elements of a weak Hopf algebra and derive an analogue of Radford's formula for the fourth power of the antipode S; which implies that the antipode has a finite order modulo, a trivial automorphism. We find a sufficient condition in terms of TrรฐS 2 รž for a weak Hopf

We consider an indefinite inner product on the algebra of rational functions over the complex numbers, and we obtain a coproduct, which is dual of the usual multiplication, that gives a structure of infinitesimal coalgebra on the rational functions. We also obtain a representation of the finite dual

We give an introduction to the theory of weak Hopf algebras proposed as a coassociatiยจe alternative of weak quasi-Hopf algebras. We follow an axiomatic approach keeping as close as possible to the ''classical'' theory of Hopf algebras. The emphasis is put on the new structure related to the presence
