✦ Synopsis
Fast, accurate, and simple closed-form expressions are presented for calculating the quasistatic TEM parameters of elliptical coplanar wa¨eguides. The effect of the elliptical cur¨ature of the present CPW structure on the line parameters is in¨estigated by using the formulas deri¨ed by conformal mapping techniques. It has been shown that both the eccentricity and the parameter p s a y a lead to a 2 1 significant change of the quasi-TEM parameters. Comparisons are also made between the present results and the results a¨ailable in the literature for both cylindrical and planar CPWs.
