โฆ Synopsis
A Kronig Penney periodic pair potential model is proposed for YBa 2Cu 3 0, with the pair potential only depending on the coordinate parallel to the c-axis. Numerical results for the 3-D density of states are compared with existing tunneling data. As a main result, oscillations in the high energy tunneling characteristics can be attributed to energy bands resulting from the periodic potential.
