β¦ Synopsis
77-1~. fluorescence spectrum of pyrene oriented in a pseudo-monocrystalline matrix of tz-heptane has been studied at 8 K. Quasilinear ;md polarized emission emanates predominantly from B sinale site having its O-O transition at 26926 cm-I. A vibrational zutdysis involving ail 10 alg and 5 of the big modes of type o and S is given. The potized data allow a strai&t-forward~dentification of the vibrations involving one quantum of the non-totally symmetric vibration.
