✦ Synopsis


Making use of the Bogoliubov-de Gennes equation, we have investigated the quasi-particle spectrum of f-wave (ðp x AE ip y Þ cosðck z Þ) superconductors around a single vortex. In contrast to the p-wave superconductors, the bound state of the vortex with winding number )1, in which the bound states do not locate at zero-energy, moves to zero-energy, because the energy gap shrinks along the k z -axis. Also the satellite peaks, which are sharp in p-wave superconductors, are smeared in f-wave superconductors.
