✦ Synopsis

The goal of this paper is to study subgroups of Thompson's group F which are isomorphic to F = ‫ޚ‬ n and F = F. A result estimating the norm of an element of Thompson's group is found, and this estimate is used to prove that these particular subgroups are quasi-isometrically embedded.
