✦ Synopsis

Quasi-elastic scattering from agarose-water gels was measured using the new pulsed-source spectrometer IRIS. Correlation times characterising the water dynamics at temperatures between -20 and 55°C were determined and show two distinct regions. The relaxation times 7, are higher by a factor of 10 to 40 than similar values for pure H,O (hetween 1 and 2 ps)
