A new type of crystal of glycylglycine (GlyGly) hydrate was crystallized from an aqueous solution, and the structure of the crystal has been determined by x-ray diffraction. The crystal is monoclinic, and the space group is C2/c, with the cell constants of a Å 15.941(2) A ˚, b Å 4.774(2) A ˚, c Å 19
The results of an X-ray diffraction study of the decomposition process occurring in the K 2 NiF 4 -type aluminate LaCaAlO 4 are reported. The experimental data concern two small single crystals heated for 1 and 10 h at 1200°C, respectively. As a final result, the presence of LaAlO 3 perovskite and C
