It was possible to measure the phosphorescence of singlet oxygen ('0,) sensitized by tctraphenylporphinc (TPP) by means of a sensitive pyroelectric radiometer. The IO2 phosphorescence quantum yield was determined directly by comparison of the intensities of the spectrally unresolved emissions of '02
