โฆ Synopsis
AN account is given of some further experimental tests of the theory proposed in the first paper by Silberstein (Phil. Maq., 1922, 44, P. 257), and some new formuhe are deduced from the fundamental one given in that paper, especially a formula which takes care of the finite breadth of a size-class of grains. Svedberg and Andersson's independent work is mentioned as coroborating the theory. The principles of clumps as units used in the previous paper is defended. Finally, two tables of experimental results obtained in the laboratory, and of theoretical values are given which show, on the whole, an excellent agreement between the facts and the light dart or light quantum theory of photographic exposure.
