✦ Synopsis

Two methods of making such studies are described in this report together with the results of the use in the 54-inch wind-tunnel of the Bureau of Standards. The first method consists of measuring the drag of circular cylinders; the second of measuring the static pressure at some fixed point. Both methods show that the flow is not entirely free from irregularities.
