✦ Synopsis
A microscopic theory for the transition from a spin-density-wave semimetallic state to a normal-metal one in very high magnetic fields is proposed. The phase boundary which separates the spin-density wave (SDW) in the extremely stable state (ESS) from a normal metal is the line of the 2½-order transition. On this line, the electron pockets on the Fermi surface are created, their size growing with the magnetic field and thus leading to a smooth metallization of the electron system. The negative temperature slope of the critical line is explained.
