The shift in the polarographic half-wave potential caused by changes in the concentration of a non-complexing supporting electrolyte was investigated. The depolarizer systems studied were the cadmium(H) and zinc(H) amine complex ions, and the cadmium(II), zinc(II), indium(II1) and thallium(I) aquo

✦ Synopsis
The results of calculations of the cathodic and anodic polarographic half-wave potentials using the semi-empirical Pariser-Parr-Pople (SCSCF) approach are reported and the posstbilities of how further to improve these calculations are discussed.
