โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

An experimental and analytical method is presented for obtaining twoโ€dimensional NMR time correlation spectra of T~1~ and (T~2~ and T~2~) exponential relaxation in heterogeneous samples. The numerical algorithms used in this study do not bias the solution by any a priori assumptions as to the number of required components. The constraints used to overcome the illโ€posed and illโ€conditioned nature of this inverse problem are also described. With this method, the correlations of T~1~ (or T~1~) and T~2~ exponential components in systems of nonexchanging standards and rat muscle tissues are obtained. ยฉ 1991 Academic Press, Inc.

## Abstract A hybrid twoโ€dimensional relaxometry (2DR) sequence was used to simultaneously measure both the spinโ€spin (__R__~2~) and spinโ€lattice relaxation rates (__R__~1~) of skeletal muscle in vivo. The 2DR sequence involved a 180ยฐ inversion pulse followed by a variable delay time (30 values fro

An obvious disanalogy between time and space is that time is onedimensional and space is three-dimensional. A slightly less obvious one is that two-dimensional space is more easily conceivable than twodimensional time. In the addendum of her article 'Time, Space, and Objects', 1 Judith Thomson attem
