✦ Synopsis
A gas chromatographic method for the estimation of ethotoin (Peganone@) in serum has been developed. The method involves the use of a flame ionization detector and allows for the determination of the drug down to 1 mg/l. This is sufficient for analysing ethotoin in serum after therapeutic doses. The specificity of the method has been confirmed by mass fragmentography.

## Abstract An instrumental planar chromatographic (HPTLC) method for quantitative analysis of clozapine in human serum was developed and validated. Clozapine was extracted with __n__‐hexane–isoamyl alcohol (75:25 v/v). The chromatographic separation was achieved on precoated silica gel F 254 HPTLC
A method has been developed for the blood level determination of the antihypertensive agent tiamenidine hydrochloride. The serum samples are mixed with deuterium labelled tiamenidine hydrochloride as an internal standard and extracted with methylene chloride. The extracts are derivatized with heptaf
Although morphine may be gas chromatographed as such, its phenolic properties cause adsorption which produces tailing and makes quantitative work impossible. This difficulty was overcome by converting morphine to its trimethylsilyl ether which gave a symmetrical elution The alkaloids of opium were e
