✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A method is described for separation and quantitative analysis of various phospholipids and sphingolipids by high performance liquid chromatography on a silica gel column with a mobile phase consisting of chloroform, methanol, and ammonium hydroxide. Gradient elution is necessary. A study of the light scattering evaporative detector response is presented. The method has been applied to the analysis of phospholipids of a commercial soja lecithin and a pig brain extract.
