✦ Synopsis
"Pure" quadrupole transitions have been observed in (\mathrm{CF}{3}{ }^{79} \mathrm{Br}) and (\mathrm{CF}{3}{ }^{81} \mathrm{Br}) using the technique of two-dimensional Fourier transform spectroscopy in the microwave and radiofrequency range. We observed transitions for (J=4,5,6) and (K=1, \ldots, 5) in the ground vibrational state for both isotopomers and determined the quadrupole coupling constant ({ }^{Q} Q q_{0}), its rotational dependencies (\bar{\chi}{\kappa}) and (\chi{d}), and the spin-rotation constants (C_{N}) and (C_{\kappa}). For (\mathrm{CF}_{3}{ }^{81} \mathrm{Br}) the rotational dependence (\bar{x}), has also heen determined. 1993 Academic Press. Inc
