✦ Synopsis
The quadrupole splitting of (NH&FeF5 -HZ0 was measured in the 79-340K temperature range. A strong dependence of temperature was observed. This effect was explained in terms of thermally activated reorientations of the NH: ion. Our data had resulted in an activation energy of (750 f 30) K. A comparison with results previously reported of (NH&FeC15H20 is presented.
