Thermally stimulated current techniques have been used for a selective study of shallow electron am! hole traps in pentacene crystals. Asymmetry, observed io electron and hole trapping, is interpreted as evidence for tie e+.tence of quadrupolar traps in the vicinity of lattice vacancies, theoretically predicted by Ersenstein and hlunn.
