โœฆ Synopsis

The Ikoku and Ramey foam flow model is modified to account for the real gas behavior encountered in petroleum reservoirs, a practical and accurate quadrature solution is obtained for four types of boundary conditions, and a sensitivity analysis with respect to the power-law fluid parameter is carried out. It is shown that the quadrature method conveniently handles all the boundary conditions and the highly nonlinear foam flow equation.

A mixed finite element-boundary element solution for the analysis of two-dimensional flow in porous media composed of rock blocks and discrete fractures is described. The rock blocks are modelled implicitly by using boundary elements whereas finite elements are adopted to model the discrete fracture
