By utilizing the theory of moment spaces, upper and lower bounds are obtained for error probability of digital communication systems, based on the use of quadraticexponential moments of the inter-symbol interference random variables. Some bounds can be evaluated numerically with minimal computational effort, while other bounds require more effort. Even the computationally simple bounds can be extremely tight.
