✦ Synopsis

We report a case of epidural abscess and pyogenic cervical discitis, following a stellate ganglion block performed for pain relief. The patient presented with quadriplegia 12 days following the stellate ganglion block. Magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the diagnosis of an epidural abscess. The patient recovered full limb function after surgical drainage. This is the first report of cervical epidural abscess as a direct complication of this procedure.
