Abstract
The cubicβperturbed, hardβsphere equation of state proposed in 1980 by Ishikawa, Chung and Lu, has been analyzed by PVT criteria, as contrasted to the single component and multicomponent vaporβliquid equilibria to which it was applied. The analysis compares its representation of the PVT behavior of substances with that of a simpler equation.
π SIMILAR VOLUMES
A general analysis for multi-phase multi-component systems, which is in phase equilibrium, is carried out. The analysis is done in terms of the general form of the cubic equation of state. The analysis is represented in terms of different models. For binary two-phase mixtures, the mole fraction of e
