The tRNA modifying enzyme, S-adenosylmethionine:tRNA(guanine-7-)-methyltransferase, has been extensively purified from Salmonella typhimurium. A rapid and efficient purification method using phosphocellulose chromatography followed by ammonium sulfate precipitation and Sephadex G-100 gel filtration
