β¦ Synopsis
The agar of Digenea simplex was isolated in 26.12% yield. The agarose fraction (19.59%) was purified by anion-exchange chromatography on DEAE-Sephadex A50. Acid hydrolysis of the agar isolated gave galactose, 3,6-anhydrogalactose, 6-0-methylgalactose, glucose, and xylose. Acid hydrolysis of the agarose fraction afforded galactose, 3,6_anhydrogalactose, and 6-O-methylgalactose. The content of SO,"-was lowered from 2.33 to 0.07% by fractionation.
The molecular weight and rheological properties of the agarose isolated were studied.

In the present study, we attempted to purify herpes simplex virus (HSV) tumor associated antigen(s) (TAA) extracted from human kidney carcinoma. Trypsinized human tumor cells were sonicated for 9 minutes and clarified at 100,000 x g for 1 hour; the supernate yielded 70% of detectable TAA as determin
