✦ Synopsis
The pure rotational Raman spectra of HN3 and DN3 have been photographed in the spectral range -100 Cm' to 470 cn-'. The ve intense AK = 0 transitions, ORK(J) and OSK(J), and the weak asymmetry-allowed AK = 1 and 2 transitions, QK, "QK, "SK (J) and "SK (J), were observed and measured. The analyses of the spectra with AK # 0 primarily yield information on the K-dependent parameters of the molecules. For HN3 the following constants have been determined: A = 20.3815(25) cm-'; DK = 8.706(92) X lo-' cm-'; H K = 7.38(93) x cm-'. For DN, the results are A = 11.4916(24) cm-'; DK = 2.931(36) X lo-' an-'; HK = 2.00(32) x cm-'.
