Evolutionary patterns of thoroughbreds are estimated in terms of distribution of life-spans, avalanche size of extinction and lineage size. All of them show power-law distribution with exponent of )2.0, and show the characteristics of a particular evolutionary pattern called punctuated equilibrium.
