Summary We describe a newly designed syringe pump which is electrically controlled by a dual foot switch pedal. The device enables the scrubbed anaesthetist performing the regional block to aspirate, ␣␣␣␣␣␣␣as well as to inject, the local anaesthetic without the need for any additional personnel.
