We propose a qualitative explanation based on the comprehension of the different electron production-electron loss processes in the laser discharge. A Girard, Rev Sci Instrum, 47 (5), 1976, 608-613. 12 2257. Minicomputer analysis of multidipole plasma Langmuir probe characteristics. (USA) A simple method which can be programmed on a minicomputer to evaluate the Langmuir probe characteristics of multipole plasma is discussed. Typical Langmuir probe traces of an argon plasma at high and low neutral pressures are analyzed. Computer plots of the technique are shown to be a very close fit to the corresponding experimental probe traces.
