GEOARCHAEOLOGY is a quarterly international journal committed to exploring the methodological and theoretical interface between archaeology and geology. The journal publishes papers integrating material from both of these fields to promote interdisciplinary understanding. Submission of general syntheses, research manuscripts, methodological or technique papers, and book reviews is encouraged. Announcements of conferences, professional meetings, and new publications are a vital part of the journal.
The editors are now soliciting manuscipts in all aspects of geology, paleontology, climatology, oceanography, and geochronology which either include archaeological data or can be applied to archaeological studies.
Manuscripts must be original works not currently under consideration elsewhere for publication. Submitted manuscripts must be typed, doublespaced on one side of nonerasable, good quality white bond, 8Y2" x 11" paper with a left-justified margin of one inch. Each manuscript should include a 150 word abstract, text, references cited, tables, and figures. Number all pages through the references cited section, beginning with the abstract. Although exceptions will be considered, the text should not exceed 25 typewritten pages. FIGURES) ARE TO BE SUBMITTED. Receipt of manuscripts will be immediately acknowledged by the editor-in-chief. All manuscripts will be reviewed by the editors and by two (2) readers. If review remarks are such that substantial changes are necessary before a manuscript is acceptable for publication, the revised manuscript will be re-reviewed, preferably by the original readers, before it is accepted for publication by the editor-in-chief.
